The Salish Sea

Clearly, the Puget Sound and adjoining waters are a major part of our region.  It is too easy to simply say things like "there is no place like it" or something of the sort. But, it's true.  As far as I know, this is the only place on this planet.

The term Salish Sea as far as I am concerned should be used more often.  Although, the sea is more than the sound alone.  This map shows what I mean. https://www.seadocsociety.org/about-the-salish-sea/  The link is to the Sea doc society and I recommend it for many reasons including general knowledge.

As a body of water, there are no real boundaries as pointed out by the society.  But, it must be challenging to manage the waters and sea life. One can only hope we go to as many locations as possible to experience each in its own unique way. Every community has a personality.   Look into where you fit and compare it with people you know.
