There truly is no where like the North West. These are some of the places we have been or are looking forward to seeing. The Pacific Northwest and all it has to offer in the city or in the wild.

MIGRATORY FRIENDS
I wonder where they have been and who else thinks of them as regular visitors to the waters they call home.

UP AT THE TREE TOPS
I haven't thought about why it is this way for me, it just is. Tree tops viewed against a blue shy bring a happy feeling. That's it. Simple and true. Happy feelings.
Here in our part of the world there are plenty of tall trees and that is one of the great things about being here in general. Sure there are other areas with trees and I hope people appreciate them.

APPLES
We were early teens. The sun was warming the apple trees. Being told it would be awhile before they would be ripe and ready to pick only made us more cautious. We were quite high over the dusty drive that lead to Angle Lake.
We were shure no one saw us. Two gangly boys hanging from the branches.
The apples were tart and warm from the heat of the day.
Memories.

LAYING IN WAIT OF OPPORTUNITIES
Just laying there. A world of opportunities. Dormant not dead. A simple paddle and drift or maybe into the shallows watching for turtles and their heads popping up to see who is there.

CHECK LOCAL CONDITIONS
I don't consider this a news site at all, however while traveling It is wise to look into local condition.
fire in the Chelan are.
TRAVEL SMALL AND SEE BIG
By small I mean don't take the largest RV and don't stay in the grandest resort. See big just means to get out there and get in contact with the world and the wonders all around us. Especially here in the northwest. That's not to say exploring everywhere you can drive.
It's not a completely new idea, but it has a new life. Making your SUV or car or truck comfortable and set-up for camping or just wandering about in a vagabond sort of way. Put wanderlust into action by making your vehicle livable.
This is just a sample of what is out there. I'm not saying these guys have it down, but this does show some ideas and how it can be done.

AUBURN IS OLD AND NEW
Years ago when the small towns of the valley were more separated than connected it was obvious there was a history of the region reflected in each of them. Lately we have had reason to be in Auburn, Wa. The changes are impressive.

EACH MOMENT
It is a quiet morning. Looking out at the calm of the lake is soothing. Trees reflected on the still water are a pleasant variety of green tones.
I realize the scene will change not long from now and the colors will be the wonderful hues of fall.
That will also be a moment to enjoy.

Often it's the water
Just as often as I think about our region I think about the diversity we have here. Clearly seen by any visitor to the area. Mountains and beaches. Farms and cities and towns. Nice small towns. The cities are still marvels regardless of the troubles we her about.
What draws us here? Well, all of it of course.

GREAT LIGHT FOR CREATING
The overcast day has long been appreciated for the lighting it give to the creative process. The colors are rich for portrait photography. Landscapes take on a depth of color as well. Our northwestplaces are deeply desired for the natural wonder of light.
Here is a sample of what you can see and capture.
