The thing that reminds people of the time they visited the island park is TILLICUM VILLAGE .
It's funny how so often you hear "isn't that where they do the Native shows?"
Walking around the island is a must.
If not literally all the way around at least about the island. The natural feel of being at the waters edge and the quite mood of the deer can sooth a person into a quiet mood of their own. After a storm has gone through some of the camping and walking trails may be closed. But, don't let that keep you from wandering away from the Village and the dock area. This really is one of those places that is "so close yet so far."

For information about the cruise from Seattle to Blake Island and Tillicum Village look here for Argosy Cruises.
Blake Island is an ancestral campground of the Suquamish and Duwamish  Tribes and most  believe it to be the birthplace of Chief Seattle.
When  going in on a private boat be sure to check for updates on the latest regulation on docking or mooring.
The deer. They are amazing to be around. To be so close to them and know they are wild is such a treat.
